Meet Deborah Snyder – Tri-Cities Habitat for Humanity Board Member

With over 30 years of leadership experience and people development, Deb Snyder passionately believes that leaders who invest in those they serve build the best teams. Deb strives to create a culture where passion and purpose guide the behaviors, actions, and activities that support the organization’s mission.  Deb is currently a District Manager for thirteen branches in the Lakeshore area of Lake Michigan Credit Union.  She lives in Grand Haven with her husband of nineteen years and has two adult children, whom she is so incredibly proud of, who live in Grand Rapids and Waukegan IL.

Deb’s favorite quote comes from Joan Baez: “Action is the antidote to despair”.   When we start to feel a sense of despair, it creates an opportunity for us to take action and make it better.  Hard work, sometimes, but always driving toward being the best version of herself.

Below, Deborah shares why she joined the Tri-Cities Habitat for Humanity board.

Q: Why did you get involved with Tri-Cities Habitat for Humanity?

A: I decided to get involved with Habitat because I’ve volunteered a few times for Habitat builds and love the fundamental need it provides hard-working individuals and families.  Allowing those to be a homeowner, to have a place to call home, to raise a family, to create cherished memories.  The community partners and volunteers help to make these dreams come true and it is an honor to be a part of this mission.  As a board member, I intent to make the commitments essential to continuing this noble effort.
